DETROIT, MI, November 8, 2010- Diamant Entertainment Group CEO Robert Williams announced today the signing of Jazz guitarist Dee Brown to its’ roster of managed clients. Brown is founder of the famed group Foreplay. After leaving the group, the Detroit native formed the R&B group “One Wish” and released the album “I Feel Like Getting Romantic” on the TRC record label. The album garnered the top 100 single “Tell Me Why”. “One Wish” was nominated for a Nashville music award and won the best single by a local artist Metro Times Detroit Music Award.
Desiring to move towards being featured on guitar, Dee began collaborating with saxophonist Gentry Shelby to form “Shelby Brown”. The resulting album “Miracle” was released by TEG Records and the song “Come Into My Heart” rose to # 1 on the DMX Smooth Jazz music chart. He also recorded “No Time to Waste” for DéLaf Records with contributions by his long time friend & producer Gerald Mitchell of Los Hermanos.
Browns new single “Sonny“ (NuGroove/Sony/BMG) was released on November 1, 2010 and was immediately # 1 on the DBS Smooth Jazz Radio Chart for most adds. Dee Brown is currently scheduling dates for 2011-12.
